Loss Prevention refers to tehcniques or methods that are used to reduce losses. Frequently used in the business setting, the term is often used in conjunction
with the:
- Loss of Dwellings or other structures.
- Loss of Inventory
- Loss of Cash
- Loss of Materials
- Losses Due to Litigation
AdaptiCAM digital video surveillance systems provide a solution encompassing all of these categories. The ability to economically proliferate cameras throughout a
business and record pertinent activity at a remote location provides an important tool for loss prevention. In many cases the presence of the cameras alone provide a strong
theft deterrent. In at least one case a dishonest employee left the first day the cameras were installed.
In the case of protection from the elements, the Adapticam system is a particularly valuable tool for weather monitoring (Weather Cam) or security concerns in remote locations. The status of businesses, mountain cabins, beach houses, and boat slips can easily be monitored from any Internet-ready location on earth. During storms rising water can be visually monitored in real-time simultaneously from several locations.
